2020 Oklahoma senate elections race candidate Neil Mavis

My current profession is a Wifi architect, or a Wifi engineer, since 2014 to the present.  I design reliable, business-critical wifi networks for hospitals, and large corporations.  Its the first job where I am treated like a rock star when I show up, to fix crummy wifi.

I am certified as a Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE) which is the highest-level certification in the CWNP program.  Earning CWNE #311, in May 2019.  You can look up the Certified Wireless Network Expert program here: https://www.cwnp.com/certifications/cwne

Globally, there are less than 399 CWNE’s, and there is plenty of crummy wifi networks to fix.  However, my freedom is more important than making a living.

My lifetime career has been in telecommunications, including a fiber optics engineer at Nortel Networks (1988-1998), Ciena (1998-2000), and as a college instructor at ITT Technical Institute (2014-2017).

My education includes:

MBA,      Mercer University, Atlanta, GA         1994

BSEET – BS Electrical Engineering Technology, Southern Tech (now engineering at Kennesaw State University, Georgia) 1987
